COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed defenseman Jack Johnson on Injured Reserve and recalled defenseman Michael Paliotta from Cleveland’s Lake Erie Monsters, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Johnson, 29, will be sidelined for two weeks after suffering an upper body injury in last night’s game against the New Jersey Devils. He has recorded six goals and eight points for 14 points with 25 penalty minutes in 60 games this season.
Johnson has tallied 58-186-244 and 400 penalty minutes in 629 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and Los Angeles Kings.
