Blue Jackets recall center Michael Chaput from Lake Erie Monsters (AHL)

COLUMBUS, OHIO ---


The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled center Michael Chaput from Cleveland’s Lake Erie Monsters, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Chaput, 23, leads Lake Erie with six goals and has added four assists for 10 points. He has also recorded six penalty minutes and an “even” plus/minus rating in 19 games this season. The Ile Bizard, Quebec native has posted 1-5-6 in 50 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, including 1-4-5 in 33 games in 2014-15.

Acquired from Philadelphia via trade on February 28, 2011, he has tallied 48-60-108 and 136 penalty minutes in 192 career AHL games with Lake Erie and the Springfield Falcons.
