COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed right wing Nick Foligno on Injured Reserve and added left wing Kerby Rychel to the roster on emergency recall from Cleveland’s Lake Erie Monsters, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Foligno, 28, suffered an upper body injury in last night’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes and will be sidelined indefinitely. He has registered six goals and 19 assists for 25 points with 30 penalty minutes in 39 games this season. The Buffalo, New York native has tallied 122-182-304 and 503 penalty minutes in 584 career games with the Blue Jackets and Ottawa Senators in nine NHL seasons.
