COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated goaltender Curtis McElhinney off Injured Reserve and assigned goaltender Anton Forsberg to Cleveland’s Lake Erie Monsters, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
McElhinney, 32, has missed the past 17 games with a sprained ankle suffered on Jan. 2 vs. Washington. He is 2-6-2 with a 3.33 goals-against average and .888 save percentage in 15 games this season. The London, Ontario native has posted a 43-57-9 record with a 2.99 goals-against average, .
