COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired defenseman Scott Harrington and a conditional pick in the 2017 NHL Draft from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for left wing Kerby Rychel, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
“We’re very excited to add a young defenseman with NHL experience in Scott Harrington. He is a former captain of the Ontario Hockey League’s London Knights and will be a very good addition to our organization,” said Kekalainen. “We also wish Kerby Rychel all the best moving forward.”
Harrington, 23, posted an assist and four penalty minutes in 15 games with the Maple Leafs in 2015-16.
