Alexander Wennberg Doubtful for Game Two

After scoring the opening goal last night in the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 overtime win over the Washington Capitals, Alex Wennberg was hit on a dirty play from Tom Wilson and knocked from the game with an upper body injury.

Today, GM Jarmo Kekalainen confirmed our fears:

Brandon Dubinsky will have to step up and play well in Wennberg’s absence.

Tom Wilson has a call today with the NHL Department of Player Safety regarding the hit.
