I've had the pleasure of watching Meier first-hand the past two seasons, and though his rookie year in the "Q" was less than impressive, this season he's been very good. Meier plays a rugged style, never afraid to muck it up. He wins board battles more often than not, and has an NHL-caliber shot. He's not a great skater, so he relies on physicality and positioning to earn scoring chances.
