FORT COLLINS — A day after the Colorado State men's basketball program announced that three players will become academically ineligible once the spring semester starts Jan. 17, leaving the team with just seven players, CSU athletic director Joe Parker said he does not think there is a larger issue concerning the team and encouraged fans keep a positive attitude toward coach Larry Eustachy and the outlook of his program.
"I think every student is independent of the other," Parker said when asked if he thought there was a bigger issue at hand.
"It's an opportunity for all of us to get stronger in how we approach our work — myself included, Larry and his staff as well, and certainly the students that are impacted by this.
