FORT COLLINS — Tom Hilbert knows some people will want to make the occasion about him, but the Colorado State coach says this isn't the time or place.
Thursday night, the most successful coach in university history will take his first stab at picking up win No. 500 at Colorado State when Nevada comes to Moby Arena (7 p.m.). The win would make him one of 14 active coaches to reach that total with their current program, and he understands it's a nice achievement, one that highlights the long-standing tradition of winning over his 19 seasons at the helm.
