FORT COLLINS — The Colorado State women's basketball team mixed things up Saturday.
Instead of dominating the second quarter like the Rams have all season (outscoring opponents by an average of 7.7 points), they saved their best for the third, outscoring visiting San Jose State 25-9 to erase a one-point halftime deficit in a 76-54 victory at Moby Arena.
The Rams were stellar on both ends of the floor to start the second half. Offensively, they shot 55.6 percent (10 of 18) in the quarter thanks to 18 points in the paint, nine points off turnovers and nine second-chance points.
