FORT COLLINS — You walk into the classroom and instead of being handed a syllabus, the professor gives you the midterm exam.
There is no easing into the season for Colorado State. The first match of the season should be a doozy, a top-25 matchup as No. 12 Illinois comes to Moby Arena on Friday (7 p.m.) to face the No. 25 Rams. Their syllabus, the schedule, shows more tests will follow in short order.
It ends with No. 15 Colorado in Boulder. It includes matches with TCU out of the Big 12, LSU out of the SEC, Florida State from the ACC and Michigan of the Big 10.
