Colorado State's size figured to be somewhat of a liability coming into the season. But to this point, that wasn't much of an issue.
Against Southern Illinois, though, it finally caught up to the Rams in an 82-67 loss. The Salukis doubled the Rams in rebounds 34-17 and had their way down low all game, leading to a 44-20 advantage on points in the paint.
The struggles close to the basket were amplified by Nico Carvacho's least productive game of the season. He registered a season-low three rebounds and scored eight points, showing the need for surrounding help.
