LAS VEGAS — The Rams fought, clawed and scrapped as hard as they could.

It just wasn't enough against the league's hottest team.

Short-handed and struggling to score like never before this season, sixth-seeded CSU's run in the Mountain West tournament came to an end with a 64-56 loss to second-seeded Fresno State in the semifinals late Friday night at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Winners of nine straight, the Bulldogs (24-9) advanced to face top-seeded San Diego State (25-8) in Saturday's MW championship game (4 p.m. MT, CBS).
