FORT COLLINS — The 2015-16 Colorado State men's basketball season has officially come to an end after the program announced Monday it declined invitations to play in the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) and Vegas 16 postseason tournaments.
Last week in Las Vegas, coach Larry Eustachy said playing in one of those postseason tournaments depended how the Rams did in the Mountain West tournament. CSU went 2-1 at the Thomas & Mack Center, beating San Jose State in the first round and Boise State in the quarterfinals before falling to Fresno State in the semifinals.
Leading up to those games, CSU players said they wanted to keep playing as long as possible.
