According to a story posted late Tuesday night by Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Green Bay Packers are set to hire Colorado State wide receivers coach Alvis Whitted.
Whitted would join the staff of first-year coach Matt LaFleur.
Whitted joined the Colorado State program in 2012, a first-year coach hired by Jim McElwain. In his time with the Rams, he coached a pair of Biletnikoff Award finalists in Rashard Higgins and Michael Gallup. With Preston Williams having a stellar season in 2018, the top three receivers in program history in terms of single-season yardage all were coached by Whitted.
