FORT COLLINS — A thrashing.

Which is what Colorado State's 47-21 win over Northern Colorado was Saturday at Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium. Which is what an FBS school is supposed to do to a visiting FCS school.

Which nobody was really sure the Rams (2-1) could do after the first two weeks of the season, not with the quarterback play to that point.

Which was before true freshman Collin Hill became the starter.

After the first drive of the game fizzled for the Rams, Hill led six consecutive scoring drives in the first half, throwing four touchdown passes and running for another.
