FORT COLLINS — Mike Bobo was laughing as he was giving the answer.
"Y'all watched today," Colorado State's head football coach started, "We've got a long way to go. There's a lot of missing pieces, but it's spring ball."
Missing indeed.
The program lost 23 players to graduation and started spring camp with 11 too injured to fully participate. That number didn't get better; it only became worse. There were 86 players on the roster for Saturday's Green-Gold game, and 14 of them were too injured to play.
