FORT COLLINS — Colorado State closed out its home tourney by winning the final two matches, topping TCU in four sets (25-21, 25-15, 15-25, 25-20) on Sunday in Moby Arena.
After opening with a loss to Cincinnati on Saturday, the No. 25 Rams (4-2) beat Florida State in five sets that evening. Kirstie Hillyer and Breana Runnels continued their strong play, both making the all-tournament team after registering double-digit kills in the win over the Horned Frogs. Runnels has 17 kills in the match, while Hillyer hit .591 in putting down 15. Setter Katie Oleksak had a great all-around match by narrowly missing a triple double with 45 assists, 13 digs and nine blocks.
