FORT COLLINS — Colorado State basketball is in danger of losing one of its best players to transfer.
Nico Carvacho, coming off a redshirt sophomore season in which he led the Mountain West in rebounding during league play (12.3 rpg), has asked CSU for permission to contact other schools. Carvacho confirmed the news Thursday night on Twitter, announcing that CSU had granted him permission to contact other schools while leaving the door open for returning to the Rams.
I have decided to explore my options and I have been granted permission to contact other schools. I have not closed the door on CSU

Student-athletes who want to transfer must have written permission from their current athletic director before discussing a possible transfer with a new school.
