FORT COLLINS — Praise overall, but a major eye roll for one play.
After Saturday's 58-27 victory over Oregon State at Sonny Lubick Field, Colorado State coach Mike Bobo spent part of his time saying Nick Stevens is one of the smartest quarterbacks he has ever been around, considering the senior's understanding and control of not only the passing game, but the rushing attack as well.
Then came the stern talk.
"I thought Nick played outstanding today at the quarterback position, getting us in the right play.
