The Rocky Mountain Challenge, a multi-team college basketball tournament that was supposed to be played at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for the first time this November, has been put on hold.
Announced last September in conjunction with the Mountain West, the inaugural tournament was originally scheduled Nov. 15-17 for the women and Nov. 19-21 for the men.
The USOC confirmed to the Reporter-Herald on Thursday that the event is not happening this year but left open the possibility of it taking place in 2019.
The MW was guaranteed a spot in both the men's and women's tournaments, and according to a source, Colorado State was going to participate in the men's event.
