With one weekend of basketball remaining before the Mountain West tournament, no team can move more in the standings than Colorado State. Depending on its result against UNLV on Saturday and how other teams around them fare, CSU can still be seeded anywhere between No. 6 and 9 in next week's tournament.
Currently seeded eighth, the Rams (12-18, 7-10 MW) have their eyes set on improving at least one spot in the standings to avoid an 8/9 matchup in the first round of the tournament and instead play either San Jose State or Wyoming.
