BOISE, Idaho — Throughout fall camp, Colorado State coach Mike Bobo kept hinting about the promise he was seeing.

It was in reference to the play of junior college transfer Michael Gallup, who was showing signs there was some magic in his 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame. There was speed there, and a physical nature to Gallup. All he needed was the knowledge.

He was slowed with an injury for a spell and that hampered his development, but as the season drew closer, Bobo knew he had to get him involved.
