FORT COLLINS — Larry Eustachy has resigned as Colorado State's head men's basketball coach, effective immediately.
The 62-year-old coach had been on paid administrative leave since Feb. 3, after the university started a climate assessment of the program Jan. 29. Eustachy and the university signed an amended contract on Monday that officially ends the coach's employment with the university on July 1. Until then, he will serve as a special assistant to athletic director Joe Parker and will continue to make his current yearly salary of $980,012.
In addition to the approximately $337,250 Eustachy will make from now until July 1, he will also receive a total of $750,000 from the university in three payments over the next two years.
