Sometimes the easiest way to get up to speed is slowing down.
It's particularly true on a basketball court when everything unfolds so quickly. Of course, competition makes it all the more difficult to do.
But during Colorado State's past five games, Kris Martin has done just that, and it started in something that has largely dictated the Rams' success this season — defense.
Before the season, Niko Medved spoke glowingly of Martin's defensive ability. Looking at his long, athletic frame, it made sense defense was an area the redshirt junior could excel in.
