The Colorado State men's basketball team received a commitment late Friday night from junior college transfer Alonzo Tyson. The 6-foot-9 forward from Cape Fear Community College averaged 14.0 points and 9.4 rebounds this past season as a sophomore for the Sea Devils.
Tyson can play right away and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
The Goldsboro, N.C., native also averaged 1.5 blocks and shot 65.2 percent from the field last season. Coming out of Trinity Christian High School as part of the class of 2015, Tyson had nine Division I scholarships and initially committed to High Point during the fall of his senior year before going the junior college route.
