Former Colorado State standout Gian Clavell has agreed to a two-way contract with the Dallas Mavericks, the team announced Monday.
After being named the Mountain West Player of the Year for CSU as a senior last spring when he averaged 20.4 points 6.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists, Clavell went undrafted. But a strong showing in the NBA Summer League led to a contract with Dallas on Aug. 1. He then averaged 8.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 17.5 minutes a game in six preseason contests with the Mavs.
