LAS VEGAS — Elin Gustavssson to the rescue.
With her Colorado State women's basketball team careless with the ball at times and often unable to finish easy looks in the paint, the junior forward from Sweden helped save the Rams from a potentially NCAA Tournament-crushing loss to open the Mountain West tournament.
Gustavsson scored a game-best 21 points on 8 of 14 shooting to lead top-seeded CSU to a 53-41 win over No. 8 seed San Diego State in the MW tournament quarterfinals Tuesday at the Thomas & Mack Center.
