FORT COLLINS — Opposing defenses told them all they needed to know.
Anthony Hawkins heard the calls. Detrich Clark most definitely heard them, as when their numbers were called out, the words that followed were generally "jet sweep."
In their first season at Colorado State, they were receivers, but virtually by name only. They lined up there, yet for the most part they weren't involved in the passing game. Clark caught nine passes, and with the exception of a few bubble screens, all were shovel passes. Hawkins snagged two.
However, both proved they can be dangerous with the ball in their hands, Clark rushing 36 times for 247 yards and Hawkins 11 carries for 81.
