Travis Garcia was just a few years removed from his playing days when he worked event management at Hughes Stadium, and walking down the tunnel to the field was hard, no longer in pads ready to play.
A decade removed from his career as a safety with the Rams, last year he was able to bring his oldest daughter, Avery, to her first game.
"That was really cool. That really kind of hit me how much time has passed," said Garcia, who still lives in the area working as a fire fighter. "That was cool. That was rewarding.
