Not ready for major college out of high school, Michael Gallup is now ready for the NFL.

Colorado State's Biletnikoff Award finalist became the latest NFL draft pick for the program, going in the third round with the 81st overall pick to the Dallas Cowboys on Friday. Gallup becomes the first Ram chosen in the annual stockpiling of talent since wideout Rashard Higgins (fifth round) and Cory James (sixth) in 2015. He is the eighth wide receiver selected from the university, and only Jon Henderson, picked 61st overall by Pittsburgh in 1968, went earlier.
