CSU's Elroy Masters, Zack Golditch highlighted for off-field contributions

FORT COLLINS — A pair of Colorado State football players were recognized Wednesday for their work off the field, as receiver Elroy Masters Jr. was nominated for the 2016 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, and offensive lineman Zack Golditch was named to the Wuerffel Trophy Watch list.

Masters is one of 82 players nationally to be nominated for the Allstate honor, with recognizes players annually for their charitable deeds and community service. Masters is the third Ram in as many years to be nominated, joining Bernard Blake and Trent Matthews. Last season, Matthews was one of 11 FBS selected for the final team, spending several days last January doing community projects in New Orleans leading up to his recognition at the Sugar Bowl.
