Colorado State season opener looked more like volume two of its exhibition win a week earlier.
The CSU women’s basketball team blew out Western State, a Division II team, by a score of 84-42. Elin Gustavsson led CSU in scoring with 15 points. Ellen Nystrom terrorized the Mountaineers with her defense and vision, recording seven steals and seven assists. Emilie Hesseldal led with seven rebounds.
“We accomplished what we needed to accomplish tonight,” head coach Ryun Williams said.
