CSU women's basketball to host W. Illinois in first round of WNIT

FORT COLLINS — Colorado State's women's basketball team drew more than an at-large bid for the WNIT on Monday, the Rams drew a home assignment for the opening round.

CSU (20-11) will welcome Western Illinois (22-9) to Moby Arena on Thursday night. No game time has been set as of yet. The winner advances to play the winner of the South Dakota-Houston game, played the same night at South Dakota. The original bracket had Houston at CSU, but that would have paired two Summit League teams in the first round.

For the Rams, this is the fifth consecutive season they have made the postseason, four of them WNIT appearances, with a trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2016.
