CSU Women's Basketball: Mollie Mounsey's 3s not enough in loss to BYU

PROVO, Utah — With both teams feeling a bit chilly shooting the basketball, any edge would prove key, and BYU found it down the stretch in a 51-42 victory over Colorado State's women's basketball team on Saturday.

CSU lost for the second consecutive game, sliding to 4-5 on the season. The Rams held tight with the Cougars (7-3) through three quarters, thanks to the marksmanship of Mollie Mounsey, but the hosts held a dagger to start the fourth in the form of a 10-2 run that gave them a double-digit cushion.

Mounsey was the Rams' saving grace offensively, scoring 21 points on the strength of her seven 3-pointers, the fifth most in a game in program history.
