VERMILLION, S.D. — The day was something of a homecoming.
Colorado State coach Ryun Williams made a name for himself as a coach when he was in charge of the women's team at South Dakota, his achievement there earning him a job with the Rams and a chance to rebuild a broken program.
The work Williams has done at CSU speaks for itself, turning the school into one of the strongest and most consistent in all of the Mountain West. And that's how his return to Vermillion was possible.
For the fifth straight season, Williams guided the Rams to the postseason, a win in the WNIT on Thursday at home setting up a chance to beat his former team for a spot in the tournament's Sweet 16.
