FORT COLLINS — This game wasn't placed on the Colorado State women's basketball team's schedule to provide a challenge or prove a point.
In fact, it wasn't even a contest that would count against the Rams' opponent's record. Instead, it was a calculated move to offer CSU an easy win heading into finals week and the opportunity to improve the depth of the bench.
Mission accomplished. Colorado State was never tested throughout the 40 minutes against Division II opponent Oklahoma Panhandle State, cruising to a comfortable 90-45 win Sunday at Moby Arena and improving the Rams' start to 9-1 with one non-conference game remaining before Mountain West play.
