Colorado State's Mountain West opener had a script it was supposed to follow when the Rams hosted the UNLV Rebels on Wednesday night.
Both teams ranked in the bottom two in the conference in scoring, UNLV last with CSU not far in front of them. For much of the night, that showed as sloppy offense led to a one-possession game late in the fourth quarter.
That's when Lauren Brocke introduced herself to Moby Arena.
Trailing by two with less than 30 seconds to play, the redshirt freshman faded into the left corner and out of reach of a UNLV defender.
