Colorado State's women's basketball team was picked to finish sixth in the Mountain West this season, as voting by the conference's coaches and select media was announced Thursday, the day the Rams beat South Dakota School of Mines & Technology 77-55 in an exhibition game at Moby Arena.

CSU had 128 points in the voting, with Boise State tabbed first with 229, including 19 first-place votes. UNLV snared the remaining four to finish at 208. Fresno State, Wyoming and New Mexico rounded out the top five.

The Rams were shut out on the preseason all-conference team, but transfer Mollie Mounsey was named the newcomer of the year.
