Despite playing one of its most impressive games thus far in the Mountain West, Colorado State women's basketball fell on the road to Fresno State 57-54 on Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs had just one MW loss on their schedule while the Rams entered the contest losers of five straight. Still, CSU found energy with 17 points in the first quarter to open an early lead against the hosts. The Bulldogs reversed that in the second with a 19-9 advantage, but the Rams tied it up at 40 entering the final period of play.
Tied at 50 in the closing minutes, Fresno State put together a 6-0 run that CSU could not bounce back from.
