One game after clinching its 15th Mountain West title, Colorado State volleyball lost its season finale in five sets to New Mexico.
The Rams lost the first two sets but fought back to win the next two, eventually losing 25-22, 25-22, 22-25, 17-25, 16-14. With the loss, they fell to 15-3 in conference play and finished the regular season 23-7. The Lobos pulled even in both categories, finishing 15-15 in the regular season, 9-9 in the MW.
Kirstie Hillyer excelled on the attack, hitting .304 with 11 kills on 23 attempts while Breana Runnels led the Rams with 23 kills.
