SAN DIEGO — On the road against a 1-13 team, Colorado State's volleyball team was served up a much closer match than they probably anticipated.
San Diego State produced five aces in the first set, allowing the Aztecs to take the opener 20-25, but the Rams battled back to take the next three (25-19, 26-24, 25-20) to improve to 3-0 in the Mountain West, 11-4 overall.
The Aztecs (0-3, 1-14) finished with 10 aces overall, but cooled down and finished with 10 errors at the line, as well. Ironically, that was how CSU closed out the match.
