Colorado State junior punter Hayden Hunt was named as a third-team All-American on Sunday, behind Utah's Tom Hackett and Texas A&M's Drew Kaser, days after finishing runner-up for the Ray Guy Award, given to the nation's top punter.
Hunt helped CSU rank second nationally with a net average of 42.4 yards per punt, including 46 percent of his punts landing inside the 20 yard line, which was the best in the country.
He had a long of 67 yards in the air against Wyoming on Nov. 7 and was a second team all-Mountain West selection behind San Jose State's Michael Carrizosa, who also finished runner-up for the Ray Guy Award.
