Lost in the excitement of Colorado State basketball's transition into the Niko Medved era is the number of newcomers littered across this year's roster.
Of the 15 players on the team, seven have not yet played a minute in Fort Collins. That includes four true freshmen, one player returning from injury and two who were ineligible due to transfers last season.
Among the plethora of newcomers making their first public appearance during Saturday's open scrimmage, transfer guards Kris Martin and Hyron Edwards shined brightest. Medved praised both guards on media day last Wednesday, claiming it looks like each will have major roles on this team.
