DENVER — After starting all 13 games last year and winning his second competition to be Colorado State's starting quarterback, Nick Stevens was expecting more Friday night.
It just wasn't there for the junior. And that surprised his head coach, Mike Bobo.
"I thought Nick has been practicing extremely well. I thought he rose to the challenge of the competition, and he won the job," Bobo said after the 44-7 loss to Colorado. "But, you know, we got in a hole, and I thought he might have pressed a little bit, did some things uncharacteristic that he hadn't done.
