CSU football's first scrimmage has errors, but bright spots too

FORT COLLINS — Mike Bobo is glad he is no longer an offensive coordinator.

As he recalls, in that role, he's never been happy with a scrimmage. Ever. Now, putting on his head coaches hat at Colorado State, one that says Farewell Hughes, he could look at things in a more positive view.

"It's practice nine. I'm trying to stay in my head-coaching mode and be positive," he said after Thursday's workout at the stadium, the first scrimmage of fall camp for the Rams. "If I was a coordinator, I'd be pretty mad right now. I rode back with Coach (Will) Friend, and it was miserable riding in the car.
