CSU football's defense needs a more team approach moving forward

FORT COLLINS — A remarkable game, really.

Colorado State linebacker Kevin Davis finished Friday's loss to Colorado with 19 tackles, and defensive coordinator Marty English said he was robbed.

In going over game film, English saw the 17 individual stops the senior was credited with, but he counted six assists, four more than what Davis was marked down for in the game.

Officially, Davis was one tackle short of making the single-game top 10 at the school. By English's count, his total is tied for third.

It was great for him, but awful in the team aspect, and it was the injured Deonte Clyburn who made that point to his teammates in a meeting.
