FORT COLLINS — In five red zone trips Saturday, Colorado State's offense scored four times. Not perfect, and not really ideal the way it played out.
The first two trips produced touchdowns for the Rams in a 20-18 win over New Mexico, but the next two were promising opportunities that ended in failed attempts.
In the third quarter, CSU head coach Mike Bobo used true freshman Trey McBride as a wildcat quarterback, and his two carries produced just three yards, leading to a 22-yard field goal by Wyatt Bryan.
It looked different. The development of the package had some hitches during the week, too.
