HONOLULU, Ha. — Nick Stevens was in a pretty good mood Saturday night, and for good reason.
As teammate Michael Gallup was being interviewed on the field, the senior quarterback snuck up on him, then proclaimed "He's the GOAT."
Gallup, stunned at first, then brushed it off.
"Yeah, we've got to help him," he senior receiver said.
Stevens is actually doing pretty good on his own. There was great precision to his game in Saturday's 51-21 victory over Hawaii, throwing for better than 300 yards for the fourth time this season, going 18-for-21 in the game for 351 total and four touchdowns.
