FORT COLLINS — The drop was tremendous.
In Mike Bobo's first season as the head coach at Colorado State, the Rams had balance, but by the end of the regular season, they were relying on a run game which averaged 197.8 yards per outing.
In 2016 it jumped to 217.8 yards, then was still strong at 200.2 per in 2017. But in 2018, the floor dropped down to 105.6 yards per game, ranking 124th nationally.
Bobo said he lost confidence in the run game last year and what it could accomplish.
